Evan W. Heins age 72 of Camp Point, Illinois died at 1:55 a.m. Monday, July 23, 2012 at Timber Point Healthcare Center, Camp Point

Born October 10, 1939, in Quincy, Illinois, Evan was a son of Harold & Reva Evans Heins.

Evan was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Camp Point and was a member of the Adams County Old Tyme Association

He enjoyed showing his steam engine and WD 9 tractor. He also enjoyed going to festivals, antiquing, and Old Tyme Days with area schools at the Adams County Fairgrounds

Evan was an avid sports fan and always supported the local sporting events in the community.

He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict

Survivors include three daughters:
Karen Bilgri (John) of Quincy
Kathy Gronewold (Noel) of Golden,Illinois
Krista Davis (Paul) of Camp Point

Seven grandchildren:
Matthew, Andrew & Rachel Bilgri of Quincy
Emery & Eli Gronewold of Golden
Brendan & John Davis of Camp Point

A special friend:
Joan McCool of Mt. Sterling, Illinois

Three brothers:
Melvin Heins (Barb)of LaBelle, Missouri
Gene Heins (Marilyn) of Pittsfield,Illinois
Glenn "Chub" Heins (Marilyn)of Coatsburg, Illinois

Two sisters:
Carol Haine (Ken)of Hannibal, Missouri
Julie Damon (Tom)of Quincy

Evan is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins
and his many friends

He was preceded in death by his parents

Funeral Services, Thursday (July 26, 2012) 10:00 in the Camp Point United Methodist Church; Rev. Joe Tomich officiating
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Camp Point

Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 at the Lummis Hamilton Funeral Home in Camp Point
