Jeremiah was the only one of Isaiah's nine kids to remain in W. Virgina. Most of his life was spent at Pine Bluff, WV, where he was a farmer, miller and blacksmith.
He married Mahala Jane Sturm on June 11, 1846 in Shinnston, Harrison County, (then Virginia, became West Virginia in 1863). They had seven children.
In old age, Jeremiah and M. Jane moved to Shinnston and lived on Station street where they both died.
