A hotel clerk, he was born March 5, 1899, in Union City, Tenn. He was a member of Claude Methodist Church and a veteran of World War I.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Griggs Pioneer Chapel officiated by the Rev. J.J. Allison, pastor of the Claude Methodist Church. Burial will be in Claude Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mort Crownover, George Brunson, Forest Doshler, Lawrence Jones, R.C. McElroy, and Charlie Riddle.
Mr. Hughlett is survived by two brothers, H.Y. of Amarillo and Glen D. of Chicago.
