Martha was the daughter of John and Annie Grant Gall (nee Meldrum), of Rothney, Aberdeenshire, and was a sister to Jean, Mary, Anna, Nell, John, Hannah, Blossom, Isabella and James Gall.
Martha, or Mattie as she was known, met Cesare whilst working at the Palace Hotel in Aberdeen. The couple married in 1921, and had a daughter Patricia Madeline and in 1936 Martha gave birth to their second child Robert Albert Edward, but tragically died shortly afterwards at Lawn Road, Hampstead.
Martha was laid to rest at HAMPSTEAD CEMETERY on the 31st August 1936 aged 38. The magnificent memorial to Martha was designed by her husband Cesare, and he was reunited with Mattie after Cesare and Martha's sister Mary Gall, perished in an enemy air attack at Smithfield Market and both were laid to rest in the same plot as Martha on the 19th March 1945.
