Dorothy Ruth Myers, age 79, of Rockford, passed away Friday, May 4, 2007, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church for 42 years. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Bryant; parents, Lewis and Stella Cureton; sons, Donald Lewis Bryant and Larry Robert Bryant; and brother, Donald Lewis Cureton.
She is survived by her husband, John Myers of Rockford; daughter and son-in-law, Connie and David Moody of Alcoa; grandchildren, Timothy Darrell Hitson of Knoxville, Mary Elizabeth Moody of Maryville, and Laura Leigh Grinstaff of Johnson City; sister and brother-in-law, Gladys and Raymond Belcher of Alcoa; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, May 7, 2007 at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Danny Davis officiating. Following the funeral, family and friends will proceed to Sherwood Memorial Gardens for the interment service.
