He is best remembered for his role as 'Marko The Mailman' in both Billy Wilder's stage play and film, "Stalag 17" (1953), and also as 'Dean Travers' in the television comedy series, "Three's Company" from 1977 to 1981. Among his other credits is the films, "Operation Mad Ball" (1957), "Fun With Dick And Jane" (1977), "Corvette Summer" (1978), televison series, "The Cop And The Kid" as 'Sergeant Zimmerman' from 1975 to 1976, and many guest appearances on shows like, "Switch", "Good Times", "All In The Family", "Alice", "Different Strokes", and "The Facts of Life." Also a talented stage actor he appeared on Broadway in the plays, "Make Mine Manhattan", "Reuben, Reuben", "Make Mine Manhattan", "The Odd Couple", and "High Button Shoes." Pierson passed away in Newton, New Jersey, in August 2004 at the age of 78.
