Mrs. R. E. Carey Called by Death Mrs. Parlee Carey, wife of R. E. Carey of Avila, and well known throughout San Luis Obispo County, died suddenly Saturday night at 10:30 at the Carey house. She was taken ill at the Avila dance hall where she had been in company with friends and died shortly after being removed to her home. Decedent was a native of Missouri but had lived in California practically all her life. Funeral will be held tomorrow (Tuesday) morning at 10:30 o'clock from the F.F. Richardmon funeral parlors. Interment will be in the Lawn cemetery. Besides her husband she is survived by three sons, Troy and Lester Carey of San Francisco and Earl Goodwin of Sisquoc and a daughter Thelma Carey of Avila, three brothers, Henry Hampton of Santa Margarita, Claude Hampton of Oceano and James Hampton: a sister Mrs. Georgie Houitllon of Portola.
