Mrs. Ruth F. Fisher,61, of 3302 15th Ave, Sterling died unexpectedly Sunday evening at the Baptist Memorial Center hospital in Memphis Tennessee.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 PM at the first United Methodist church in Sterling with the Rev. J Randall Brown, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Knoll Memorial Park. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 8:53 PM Tuesday at the church.
Arrangements were completed by the Alan funeral home, Sterling.
Mrs. Fisher was born February 21, 1919 in Meade, Kansas, the daughter of Jacob and Katie (Bartel) Friesen. She was United in marriage to Carleton H Fischer Sr. on February 6, 1938 in Sterling. She was a member of the first United Methodist Church and the financial secretary of the church for 25 years. She was also an active member of the ladies of the Elks.
She is survived by her husband Carlton, to sons and one daughter, five grandchildren, and two sisters, and two brothers.
She was preceded in death by her parents and eight brothers and sisters.
