Mrs. Ethel M. Hardesty, 70, 1009 May Ave., wife of Burl Hardesty, died at Ball Memorial Hospital, Friday, following an illness of two months. Born in Jay County she had lived in Muncie about 40 years. She was associated with her husband at Hardesty Trucking Co. for many years. Mrs. Hardesty was a member of the Methodist Church in New Mt. Pleasant and the Ladies of the Moose in Muncie. Survivors include the husband, Burl Hardesty, a son, Ernest Lanning, Clearwater, Fla., a step-daughter, Christine (Mrs. Robert Leverton), Lantana, Fla., granddaughter, Barbara (Mrs. Charles Whitenack), a grandson, Don J. Lanning, Muncie; and six great-grandchildren. Entombment is in Elm Ridge Mausoleum.
