Lynn L. Voss, 62, of Louisburg, Kan., passed away July 13, 2012, at Kansas City Hospice House following a 19 month battle with lung cancer. Lynn was born April 22, 1950, in Logan, Iowa, son of Duke and Bonnie Voss who preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Cindy (Neiderhiser) Voss, Louisburg, their daughter, Ashley Voss and son, James Voss, both of Kansas City. He is also survived by his brother, Mick Voss and wife Ellen of Plano, Texas, and brother, James Dinsmore and wife Linda of Blair, Neb., and their families. After graduating from high school, Lynn joined the United States Navy in 1969 as a Communications Technician and his last duty assignment was aboard the USS Cascade during the Vietnam War. Lynn spent his career in sales and management, but his free time was spent pursuing his love of golf, fishing the Boundary Waters of Canada and developing his horsemanship skills both here and at his "second home," Montana. A memorial service in Lynn's honor will be Sunday, July 22, 2012 at South Broadland Presbyterian Church, 7850 Holmes Rd., Kansas City. The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. at the church followed by the service at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care, www.kansascityhospice.org.
