Funeral services for James Lilborn Hyde (Jim) of Waco were held at Wilkirson-Hatch Chapel. Rev. Gene York of Dallas, and Rev. Tommy Adams officiating with burial in Rosemound Cemetery.
Mr. Hyde died in Waco on May 31, 1969, he was 51.
He was born in McLennan County, on Aug. 5, 1917 to J.O. and Ida Mae (Ludwick) Hyde.
He was educated in Moody. He came to Waco to marry Miss Millie Parrott in May 1937, and lived here ever since.
He was a member of the Ames Road Baptist Church at Lancaster.
He built the Baylor Recreation Camp before his retirement.
Survivors include: his wife; five daughters, Mrs. W.L. (Molly) Hammond, Mrs. Clyde (Virginia) Ross, Mrs. Tony (Mary) Sellers, Mrs. Mike (Rebecca) Cox, and Miss Kay Hyde all of Waco; three sons, James L Hyde Jr. of Houston, Wayne Hyde of Golinda, and Jerry Don Hyde of Waco; his mother, Mrs. Ida Hyde of Waco; two sisters, Mrs. Maurine Key of Waco, and Mrs. Burnell Jurecka of Dallas; four brothers, Roy Hyde and Dewey Hyde both of Valley Mills TX, Harold Hyde of Bosqueville and Bill Hyde of Frankston; 14 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
