At 10:30 Monday morning Mrs. Amanda Harris, relict of J. T. Harris, one of the oldest women in the county, passed from life unto death, aged 84. Her illness lasted less than a week and uraemic poison was the cause of her demise. Mrs. Harris, who was a Miss Nunnelley, a sister of Mr. L. B. Nunnelley, and the late P. P. Nunnelley, came to this county from Clark county in 1878 and had been a resident of Stanford since. She was married in 1876 and her husband preceded her to the grave some ten or twelve years. Deceased was a devout member of the Baptist church and attended its services as long as her health would permit. She was a charitable woman and the poor were the beneficiaries of her tender heart. They and all who knew the good woman will miss her and are grieved that she is no more.
The remains were taken to the home of her nephew, Mr. A. T. Nunnelley, and the funeral services are being held by her former pastor, Dr. M. D. Early, after which the remains will be laid to rest by the side of those of her husband in Buffalo Springs cemetery.
Since the death of her husband, Mr. Nunnelley her nephew, has looked after her and no son could have done more for a mother than he has for her. She showed her appreciation of him by an unstinted love, not unlike that of a mother. The devotion between the two was pretty indeed and commendable to all.

We are now at Henrietta, Clay county..... We are domiciled with Mr. G. M. Nunnelley and wife, from whom we received a cordial welcome. Wherever I go I run across the Interior Journal. Even Uncle Green, 1,200 miles away from Stanford, gets the I. J.
