William R. Hutchison became her life-long husband in 1951, and together they bore 7 children: Vickie Rae Cundiff (wife of Robert) of New Freedom, PA, William Ray Hutchison, Jr. (husband of Linda) of Rock Hill, SC, Charles Jordan Hutchison (husband of Susan) of Lewisberry, PA, Jack Vernon Hutchison (husband of Michelle) of Waynesboro, PA, Cathy Jo Baughman of Mechanicsburg, PA, Edith Ann Eshelman (wife of Earl) of York, PA, and the late Clarence Moore Hutchison (husband of Pamela). She has 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and son she was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter Calvin Bietsch, Jr. and Charles Robert Bietsch.
Jessie was last employed as a bookkeeper and office manager at Glen Miller Auto Parts in Chambersburg. She was a member of Second Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chambersburg. During her lifetime many area boys and girls were blessed by her love of being a Cub Scout Den Mother and Girl Scout Leader. She served for twenty-five years as a Conococheague District Instructor, training many area Den Mothers and she was awarded the prestigious Order of Merit Award. Her family was truly grateful for her love of quilting and for receiving a one of a kind hand-stitched quilt at every wedding and childbirth.
Funeral services will be held at Noon on Friday, July 20, 2012 at Second Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor Henry Johnson officiating and remarks by Pastor Jerry Timbrook. Interment will follow at Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until Noon on Friday at the church.
The family requests the omission of flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to Second Evangelical Lutheran Church, 240 East Washington Street or to the American Cancer Society, 384 Floral Avenue, both in Chambersburg, PA 17201.
