Virginia Aday, 85, of Bonner Springs, KS, passed away Sat., July 14, 2012 at her home. Funeral services will be 10 am, Thur., July 19, at the Judson Baptist Church, 8300 State Ave. KCK. Burial to follow in Bonner Springs Cemetery. Her family will receive friends at her visitation from 6 to 8 pm, Wed., July 18, at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, KS. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Hospice of your choice or to the Judson Baptist Church in care of the funeral home. Virginia was born on August 7, 1926 in Winfield, KS. She and her husband, David, recently celebrated 68 years of marriage. They worked side by side for over 50 years in the bakeries/restaurants they owned in several towns in Kansas. They made everything from doughnuts to wedding cakes to homemade candies. Virginia's greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family. She loved playing with her grandchildren, watching ball games, fishing, needlework, playing cards and roller-skating. She was a faithful member of Judson Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Ryan Aday. And is survived by her husband David of the home. A daughter Karen Ferrell and husband Cliff of Bonner Springs, KS; and son David Aday, Jr. and his wife Sherry of Lanexa, VA. 3 grandchildren Clifford Ferrell and his wife Patrice; and Tonya Wiley and her husband Doug all of Bonner Springs, KS; and Derek Aday and his wife Erica of Cary, NC.
