Our beloved sister, aunt and friend passed peacefully into God's arms on Aug. 25th after a courageous battle with A.L.S. She was born Sept. 27, 1925 to Charles O. and Millie G. Hinckley in Ogden, Utah. Colleen was raised in Utah, Idaho, Oregon and Washington where she developed her love of travel. After receiving her degree in nursing, she spent her life in service to others. She served in the U.S. Navy Nurse's Corps for 20 years retiring as a Lt. Commander. While in the Navy she traveled the world and embraced the many cultures and people she was with. Colleen had a love of sewing, quilting, gardening, and genealogy and most importantly service to God. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in many capacities over the years. Survived by her loving sister Laurel, niece and nephews, Cris, Greg, Shawn (Michelle), Mat (DruAnn), Will (Sharon).
