With his brother-in-law Nathaniel L. Bradley, Hubbard started the Bradley & Hubbard Manufacturing Company in Meriden, Connecticut. Today, lamps and other articles made in the factory are prized antiques. In his adopted home of Meriden, Hubbard is best known for his gift to the city of the park that bears his name. The 1800 acre preserve is home to Castle Craig Tower that rises above the beautiful surrounding hanging hills. In 1852 Hubbard married Abby Bradley, his partner's sister.
