GEORGE CANADAY DEAD

George Canaday, 1313 Prairie Ave., a Santa Fe machinist, died Monday night in the Santa Fe Hospital in Topeka.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later by the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home.

Mr. Canaday was born Oct. 18th, 1903, in Blythedale, Mo., the son of Harve P. and Nellie Carlton Canaday. He married Mildred Arney Sept. 17th, 1922, and she died Sept. 13th, 1962. His wife, the former Edna Lemon, whom he married May 20th, 1963, in Emporia, survives. Also surviving are a son, Bob L. Canaday, Chattanooga, Tenn., a daughter, Mrs. Bruce Hoover Jr., 847 Whittier St.; his step-mother, Mrs. Daisy Canaday, Pleasanton, Mo.; three stepsons, Robert Lemon, Wichita; Donald L. Lemon, Dallas, Tex.; and Gary D. Lemon, Rapid City, S. D.; one step-daughter, Mrs. Dow Burris, Fort Leavenworth; two brothers, John Canaday, Independence, Mo., and Tago Canaday, Hammond, Ind.; one sister, Mrs. Clint Culbertson, Saratoga, Ark.; two step-brothers, Garland Canaday, Kansas City, Mo., and Garnon Canaday, Pleasanton; and 13 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
