*** CAUSEY, JOHN B, CAPT,US AIR FORCE, VIETNAM. DATE OF BIRTH: 1937-DATE OF DEATH: 1966. BURIED AT: FAMILY CEMETERY - DOVER, TN 37058
*** Captain Causey was a member of the 41st Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron. On February 26, 1966, he was the pilot of a Douglas Destroyer Reconnaissance Bomber (RB-66) on a mission over North Vietnam. when his plane crashed. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.

You may be gone, no longer living on this earth; but you will live on - in the memories of your family and friends. There will always be a part of you living in me, your brother, sisters and those who knew you and loved you. You will live on because we remember you!

Captain Causey was lost while flying in an EB-66C, call sign 'Gull One'.

The aircraft was brought down by an SA-2, ten miles northwest of Vinh, North Vietnam.

The crew was rescued by the aircraft-carrier USS Ranger (CVA 61) with the exception of Captain Causey who remains MIA.

Apparently, only his helmet was found.

He flew with the 41st Tactical Electronic Warfare Squadron, 355th Tactical Fighter Wing and was lost on an ELINT/ECM Harassment Mission.
