Anita T. Snyder, also known as Anita T. Rosso, born Anita Catherine Thain on Feb. 7, 1923, in Billings, Mont., passed away peacefully in her home in San Antonio July 4, 2012. Anita grew up on her parents' ranch near Buffalo, Wyo. When she was a teenager, she moved to California and graduated from Hollywood High School. She eventually moved back to Billings and raised five children with her husband, Robert D. Snyder at 206 Clark Ave. They moved to San Antonio and then to the Rio Grande Valley where he eventually retired until his passing in 1994. She was married for 10 years to the late Norman Rosso.

She is preceded in death by her father and stepmother, Thomas and Margaret Thain, her beloved mother Kathryn Thain, her sister Betty Hagan all of Billings; and her brother George Mc Rae of Buffalo, Wyo.

She is survived by her five children, Kathy Wells of Tampa, Fla., Eloise Zalucki of Knoxville, Tenn., Robert D Snyder Jr. of Burnet, Texas, and Bill Snyder and Marcus Snyder both of San Antonio. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, who loved her dearly.

She was a loving and generous mother, who lived a very full life. We will miss her beautiful blue eyes and her wonderful smile. She was a fun loving spirit and loved to laugh. She will be missed by all who knew her. The world is a better place because she was here.

The family would like to express their gratitude to all her caregivers throughout the years.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 16, in the chapel of the Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas. A graveside service will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Georgetown, Texas.
