ELLISON, MURLE MURPHY - age 79, of Maryville, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2001, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Forest Hill Baptist Church, where she was a servant of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe A. Ellison and parents, Mack H. Murphy and Eliza Wilcox Murphy; brothers, Hampford, Glenn and sister, Barbara Jackson Murphy. Survivors include children, Harry Farmer, Mary Ellison, James Ellison, and Sharon Scates, Karen Reavely, and Becky Robinson, all of Maryville; brothers, Wade Murphy and Rev. Mack H. Murphy, Huell and Wendell Murphy, all of Maryville, and Clinton Murphy of Monticello, Fla.; sisters, Reva Murphy and Louise Headrick; grandchildren, Mickey, Tim, Steve, Terri, James, Donnie, Heaven, Joseph, Joe, Scott, and Jason; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 8 p.m. Monday, April 16, 2001, Trinity Chapel, Smith Mortuary with Rev. Joe White and Rev. Glenn Grubb officiating. Interment 11 a.m. Tuesday at Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Smith Mortuary, Maryville, 865 983-1000.
