David Anderson of Litchfield
David Arthur Anderson was born on March 25, 1939, in Grant County, Minnesota. He was the son of Fritz and Alice (Kloos) Anderson. David was baptized as an infant, and later confirmed at Bethel Lutheran Church in Hoffman, Minnesota. He received his education in Morris, Minnesota, and was a graduate of the West Central Agricultural High School Class of 1957. David was a member of the National Guards.
On November 3, 1963, David was united in marriage to Linda Rask, at Bethel Lutheran Church in Hoffman, Minnesota. This marriage was blessed with two children, Peggy and Timothy. David and Linda resided in Litchfield, Minnesota, on the farm for the last 20 years. They shared 44 years of marriage until Linda passed away on May 8, 2008.
David was a farmer for many years around the Hoffman and Herman, Minnesota Area. He did construction while he and Linda lived in the state of Washington. When they returned to Minnesota, David built cabinets until he suffered a heart condition that put him on disability in 1995. He was a member and attended First Lutheran Church in Litchfield, Minnesota. David helped out in the church office. He was also a member of the Forest City Threshers.
David enjoyed farming and in later years he enjoyed being on the farm and watching the wildlife as well as the changing of the seasons on the farm. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, square dancing, afternoon coffee at the Main Street Café and Swan's, going to the Hutchinson Sales Barn and attending Men's Group. He especially cherished the time he spent with his family, grandchildren and friends.
David passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2012, at his home in Litchfield, Minnesota, at the age of 72 years.
