Obit: THE DAILY TIMES (DAVENPORT) Monday, December 4, 1939----Mrs. Ray G. Nolan
"The funeral of Mrs. Marguerite Nolan, age 32 (31), 2 Crestline court, Bettendorf, who died at the family residence, 802 Grand court, at 1:40 pm Saturday, following a lingering illness (cancer) will be held from St Paul the Apostle church at 9 am Tuesday. Burial will be in St. Marguerite's cemetery.
Mrs. Nolan was born in Sedalia, Mo., Dec 27, 1907. Her maiden name was Marguerite A. McVey. She was married to Ray G. Nolan at St. Alphonsus church, Davenport, Nov 27, 1930.
Her husband, who is president of the Nolan Office Supply Co, and former alderman of the Fourth ward, is confined to Mercy hospital with heart disease.
Besides the widower, two daughters, Donna Rae and Mary Renee; her parents, Mr and Mrs J.S. McVey, Sedalia; a sister, Mrs Charles A. Kinney, Davenport; a brother, Joseph S. McVey, Sedalia; and her maternal grandmother, Mrs. M.A. Maroney, Sedalia, survive.
The body was taken to the Halligan funeral home and was removed to the family home, 802 Grand court, at 3pm Sunday. The rosary will be recited at the family home at 8 pm today.
The Nolan Office Supply Co. will be closed Tuesday on account of the funeral."
