Laverne Middleton, 85, of Numa died Wednesday, May 12, 1999, at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital.
He was born July 20, 1913, in Appanoose County, the son of Roy and Myrtle (Allen) Middleton.
He married Pauline Fox Jan 1, 1940. She proceeded him in death in 1989.
Survivors include two brothers. Jack Middleton of Moravia and Bob Middleton of Palm Beach Garden, Fla.; and three sisters, Garnell Lobaugh of Blairsburg, Ruby Vidas of Centerville and Donna Armstrong of Macon, Mo.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; a daughter Zae Klein; two sisters; and three brothers.
He was a machinist and a member of the Grace Tabernacle Baptist Church.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Johnson-Lange Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Pick officiating. Burial will be in Numa Cemetery. Visitation will be all day today. Friday, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m.
A memorial has been established to the Grace Tabernacle Baptist Church and contributions may be left at the funeral home.
