Dies in Fort Dodge Hospital
Miss Sena Van Loh died at Fort Dodge last Thursday, April 24. The week prior she underwent an operation for appendicitis and was getting along fine when complications set in, with the above result. The remains were brought to the home of her uncles and funeral services were held Monday at the Apostolic church. The services were conducted by Rev. Jos. Banwart of West Bend and Rev. Plattner of Sebetha, Kansas. Interment was made in the West Bend cemetery. The pall bearers were Jake Falb, Ernie Anliker, John Lentz, Silas Banwart, Paul Banwart and Emil Anliker.
Sena Van Loh was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Van Loh, both deceased. She was born October 26th, 1899, and lived in this vicinity all her life, the past few years being spent with her uncles, John and Anton Van Loh on their farm north of town. She was a popular young lady as was testified to by the many beautiful floral offerings and the many friends who came to pay their last respects at the funeral. She will be missed not only by those with whom she made her home but by her sister and brothers and the people in general.
She leaves to mourn her loss one sister, Martha, of West Bend and three brothers, Henry of West Bend, Fred of Maple Hill and John of Fort Dodge. The Journal extends to them sincere sympathy in their bereavement.
