GARFIELD NEWS
Mrs. Linnie Smith, a resident here for over thirty years, passed away Tuesday night, Oct. 22nd, at the St. Rose hospital in Great Bend, where she had been a patient for some time. Funeral services were held Friday at the Methodist church with Rev. W.B. Summers in charge. Burial was in the Garfield cemetery. Pall bearers were Tom Sloan, Wm. Reed, Robert Carden, Earl L. Bingaman, James Fairbairn, and Ray Duncan. Mrs. Smith was 74 years of age and leaves one daughter, Dotteye Smith, of Larned, and two sons, Hubert of Portland, Ore., and Lester of Texas.
