Death of Albert Selleck.

After a lingering illness of several weeks duration, Albert Selleck passed peacefully away yesterday at 3 p.m., at the family residence, 317 East street, aged 45 years. A post mortem (sic) examination revealed that cancer of the stomach was the cause of his death.

The deceased was born at St. Lawrence, New York. He came to this city eight years ago, and has by his industrious habits and straight-forward life made many friends during his residence here. He was at the time of his death, and for a number years previous, a consistent and active member of the Congregational church. He served his country faithfully during the late war, as a member of Co. I., First Wisconsin heavy artillery.

Mr. Selleck leaves a wife and five children, whose lives are saddened by the loss of a kind and considerate father, and to whom the sympathy of the entire community goes out.

The funeral will occur at the First Congregational church to-morrow at 10 o'clock a.m. The Frat'nal Aid, of which the deceased was a prominent member will convey the remains from the residence to the church, when the funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Mr. Norton, after which the remains will be conveyed to their last resting place in Maplewood cemetery by the members of the G.A.R. posts of this city.
