Joseph Henry 'Joe' Fisher
Birth: Jul. 4, 1916
Death: Apr. 13, 2002

Professional Hockey Player. A native of Medicine Hat, Alberta, Fisher played for teams in the AAHA, S-SSHL, NOHA, IAHL, NHL, AHL, WNDHL, WCSHL, Al-Cup, and the WCJHL hockey leagues. At 6'00, and 175lbs, he played the position of Right Wing for the Edmonton Athletic Club from 1934 to 1935, Coleman Canadians from 1935 to 1937, Kirkland Lake Blue Devils from 1937 to 1938, Pittsburgh Hornets from 1938 to 1939, Detroit Red Wings from 1939 to 1943, Indianapolis Capitals from 1939 to 1943, Winnipeg RCAF from 1944 to 1945, Calgary Stampeders from 1945 to 1947, Lethbridge Maple Leafs from 1946 to 1947, Regina Capitals from 1947 to 1949, and the Medicine Hat Tigers from 1949 to 1950. Fisher retired from playing hockey in 1950. He later went into coaching and helped a Medicine Hat team win the Memorial Cup in 1973. Fisher passed away in Medicine Hat, Alberta, in April 2002 at the age of 85.  (bio by: K)
