James was the son of Wm.Henry Frazier and Missouri Merritt. He was married to Mary Margaret Wilser and informant was Lavenia Frazier of Jefferson City, Mo. He was white, a widower and his vocation was as a barber. He was 88 years old. His mother Missouri Merritt was the daughter of Obediah Merritt and Sarah Davis of Cabell County, West Virginia.
They were the parents of a daughter Lavina A Frazier.

Former Barber in City observes 85th Birthday spelled (Bithday) Today Jim Frazier 312 Jackson street, was 85 years young and he claims the distinction of being the oldest Barber in Missouri. Although not now actively engaged in barbering , he helps out when the shops of the city are short of help.
Frazier started barbering when he was 21 years old. He worked first for Emil Stalhrat 122 Madison street. Since then he has owned three shops at different times, the last being at 116 East High street, which was known as Jim's shop.
Frazier was born in Jefferson City and lives with his daughter, Miss Lavenia. Frazier helps with the duties around the house and this week set out tomato plants in his garden.
