Thomas W. Baugh, 69, of Woodland, Tenn., formerly of Hartsville, died of an apparent heart attack Thursday at his home. He was the son of Mrs. D. L. Baugh of Greensburg route 4.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Smith funeral home at Maryville, Tenn., and burial will follow there.

Baugh was born March 31, 1905, in Hartsville, to the late Dan Baugh and Mary Terrill Baugh, who survives. On May 19, 1929, at Knoxville, Tenn., he married Elizabeth Kidd, who survives.

He was a 1922 graduate of Letts high school in Decatur county, where he participated in all athletics, and attended DePauw university. He was a retired supervisor for Alcoa Aluminum company at Maryville, Tenn., had lived at Woodland since his marriage and was a Marine veteran.

Also surviving are a son, Thomas, and two grandchildren, of Maryville, Tenn.; a sister, Mary Martin of Noblesville; and three brothers, Leslie of Detroit, Mich., Robert and Keith, both of Greensburg route 4.
