GUNSHOT WOUNDS OF 7 YEARS AGO CAUSE MAN'S DEATH
Jacob Adams of Bowser Hollow Passes Away at Memorial Hospital of Diabetes
HAD LARGE FAMILY
Jacob Adams, of Bowser Hollow, West Taylor Township, died at 12 o'clock last night at the Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient since April 14. His death was due to diabetes, which resulted from gunshot wounds Mr. Adams received while hunting in Huntingdon County seven years ago, when he was accidently shot in the neck and face. His health had been imapired since the accident.
The body was prepared for burial by Undertaker Flick, who will take it to the George Bush home in Bowser Hollow this evening. Funeral services will be held at the Bowserdale Evangelical Church on Friday afternoon by the Rev. J. H. Booser, the pastor, with interment in Benshoff's Cemetery.
Jacob Adams was born in West Taylor Township in 1868 and was a son of Mr. and Mrs. George Adams. For many eyars the deceased was employed as a laborer in the Cambria mills. He was compelled to relinquish his duties there following the hunting accident. The disease which caused his death was directly due to the gunshot wounds, physicians say.
Besides his widow, the deceased is survived by seven children as follows: Jonathan, Ferguson and Lewis Adams, all of West Taylor Township; Morrell Adams, of 973 Ash street, Seventh Ward, and Ruth, Alberta and Norman Adams, all of the Eighth Ward. Eleven children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Adams, four of the number having passed away in infancy.
