David worked as a mechanic at Bill's Westland in Glasgow. He started his construction career in 1977 with Morgen & Oswood Construction. He continued with his building career throughout his life all over the Northwest, building numerous heavy construction projects, including his "love-bridges."
David enjoyed any activity involving the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and gardening. He was restoring a 1962 GMC pickup for his first grandson.
