Mrs. Sinnie Catherine Carter Thrift, 103, died Thursday (February 21, 2002) at her residence following a long illness.

She was a native and lifelong resident of Ware County. She was married to the late Mose Mitchel Thrift and was daughter of the late George Carter and Millie Thrift Carter and was preceded in death by a son, Lester Thrift. Mrs. Thrift was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.

The survivors include two daughters, Sadie Pittman of Waycross, Betty Carter of Woodbine; a son, Sylvester Thrift of Waycross; 13 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; and 12 great great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1500 South Georgia Parkway. Burial will be at Hickox Cemetery near Hoboken.

The family will be receiving friends at Music Funeral Home Friday night from 7 until 9 o'clock.
