Mother of Michael and DeborahMargaret I. Mangan died July 5, 2012, at Rutland Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.

She was born Dec. 31, 1933, in Rutland, the daughter of Charles and Hazel Howland.

She worked at Midway Diner, Carris Reels, Kmart and the Rutland Fair.

She was a member of VFW Post 648, American Legion Post 31, and the Salvation Army.

Survivors include a son, Michael Lancour of Rutland; a daughter, Deborah Greenough of Palm Bay, Fla.; a grandson, a granddaughter, and a great-granddaughter; two sisters, Sally Colomb of Rutland, and Charlene Plude of Glens Falls, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Robert Lancour and Francis Howland; and three sisters, Marjorie Olney, Anna Collier and Patricia Alexander.

There will be no calling hours or services, as per her wishes.

Burial will be at a later date, and at the convenience of the family.
