[Fond du Lac Commonwealth Reporter, Monday, October 10, 1955, p. 16] Mrs. Edna Kumber, 63, of 21 South Seymour street, died at 9:20 a.m. Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Alfred Nielsen, 442 Forest avenue, after a long illness. Born August 14, 1892 at Menomonee Falls, the daughter of Edward and Caroline Bauer, she was married to Paul Kumber April 23, 1913, at Tigerton, where they lived for six years. For the last 32 years Mr. and Mrs. Kumber had lived in Fond du Lac. Surviving are her widower and mother; two daughters, Mr. Nielsen and Mrs. Ervin Marshall, city; a son, Wallace Kumber, city; seven grandchildren and two brothers, Garvin Bauer, Colgate, and Merle Bauer, Milwaukee. The body of Mrs. Kumber will be in state at Zacherl Funeral home after 10 a.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be held there Wednesday at 2 p.m. with burial in Estabrooks cemetery.

[Fond du Lac Commonwealth Reporter, Thursday, October 14, 1955] Funeral services for Mrs. Edna Kumber who died Sunday were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Zacherl Funeral home. The Rev. Martin Koehler officiated. Harold Wurtzel sang, accompanied on the organ by Mrs. Watson Waehler. Pallbearers were Harold and Ralph Kollmorgan, Donald Titus, Dennis and Arvin Bauer and Jack Kumber nephews. Burial was in Estabrooks cemetery. Out of town persons attending the services were from Colgate, Milwaukee and Waupun.
