A memorial service will be at 5 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 2005, in Oregon City First Baptist Church for William Toman, who died May 27 at age 98.

Mr. Toman was born Aug. 5, 1906, in New Salem, N.D. He moved to Oregon City in 1942 and was a pants presser for Pantorium Cleaners for about 30 years. In 1929, he married Lillian May Kottsick; she died in 1966.

Survivors include his daughters, son, Billy; Betty Wright and Marcella Betnar; sister, Clara Bures; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

William Toman, 98, Oregon City, Ore., died May 27, 2005. Services will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday, June 27, at Oregon City First Baptist Church.

A former resident and frequent visitor to Bismarck for Toman family reunions, Mr. Toman was born Aug. 5, 1906, in New Salem. In 1929, he married Lillian May Kottsick, of Mandan. He operated Toman's Cleaners at 106 Third St. in Bismarck from 1930 to 1942, when he moved to Oregon City. His wife died in 1966 in Oregon City. Seven years later, he married his widowed sister-in-law, Gerda Rask Toman, of Flasher. She died in 1991.

Survivors include his son, Billy, Oregon City; his daughters, Bette Wright and Marcella Betnar, both of Oregon City; one sister, Clara Bures, Flasher; one cousin, Helen Blaich, Bismarck; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and num-erous nephews and nieces.
