Augusta F. Dempster

OREGON CITY, Oct 30 (Special) - Augusta Frances Dempster, believed to be Oregon City's oldest resident, died at home here Saturday after a weeks illness. She would have been 100 years old December 22. She was the widow of William H. Dempster, commercial fisherman and onetime Crown Willamette Lumber company worker, and had lived in this city since 1892, coming here from Columbus, O., her birthplace. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Oregon City.

Surviving are three daughters and a son, Mrs. Mattie Cannon, Mrs. Evelyn Williams, Mrs. Ella Krummel and Edgar Dempster, all of Oregon City; nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the Holman & Hankins mortuary here, with Rev. A.J. Ware officiating. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
