Her second marriage was to John Gilmore on 6 October 1919 in Wood County. She had eleven children with ten surviving: Maud (1879), George (1882), Elnora (1884), Nellie (1888), Bertha (1890), Lloyd (1893), Eva (1896), Alta (1898), Goldie (1900), Walter (1903), and Florence (1906). Sarah died from heart disease at the age of 80 years 4 months ands 19 days.
