Jack Masters, resident of Georgetown, TX, passed away Monday July 5, 2011 in Georgetown, TX. He was preceded in death by his wife, Clarabelle Gilstrap Henderson and Clara Eva Masters, brother Bill Masters, sister Kathleen Pruitt and sister Nelda Jean Hooker. Jack is the beloved father of Nikea A. Masters, Jacqueline L. Riggs, Charlotte D. English, Patricia D. Murphy, Teresa and Roy L. Starnes and Randall J. Masters. Dear father-in-law to Doug C. English and Kristine L. Hennessy. Loving grandfather to Angela D. and Marc A. Bourgeois, Anthony D. and Shannon R. DeLuca, Jessica A. and Ryan A. Woollard and Jill D. and Louie Renda. Cherished great-grandfather of Louke A. and Jacob Bourgeois, Blake A. and Brooke R. DeLuca and Shaun T. Masters. Special partner to Mary U. Johnston and cherished by Kathie Wells, Cyndi Bono, Greg Patty, Michelle and Ed Murphy, Joe Bono Sr. and their six children and seven grandchildren. Jack is survived by many nieces and nephews. Jack was born February 25, 1930 in Boswell, Oklahoma, spent ten years in the U.S. Navy and was a Navy Shark with the Victory Patrol Six Squadron serving in Korea. He was a retired teacher serving tirelessly at Overfelt High School in San Jose, California retiring in 1987. Prior to that he taught in Bakersfield, California and Carlsbad, New Mexico. Jack moved to Georgetown in 2011 to live with his daughter. Jack was an excellent dancer, he loved to dance and always took the dance floor at the Morgan Hill street dances and the Gilroy Senior Center. The family requests donations be made to Alzheimer's Association, American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association in lieu of flowers.
