Susan Dorothy Urbanic Tomazic (nee Reber), age 92, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, formerly of Lorain, Ohio passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Savannah Grace Assisted Living in Mount Pleasant, SC.
She was born on January 31, 1920 in Culver, PA to Peter and Anna (nee Spisak) Reber. She married John N. Urbanic on October 5, 1940, John passed away on December 26, 1966. She married Rudolph A. Tomazic on May 6, 1972, Rudolph passed away on October 6, 1994.
Susan was employed by Lorain Products as an assembler, retiring in 1982 after 27 years of service. She was a member of both the former Holy Trinity Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Mother's Club and Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, where she was a member of their choir. Susan was also a member of the Sokol Lodge.
Susan is survived by her son, of Isle of Palms, SC; two step-daughters; step-son, of Lorain, OH; and ten grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, John N. Urbanic and Rudolph A. Tomazic; parents, Peter and Anna (nee Spisak) Reber, brothers, John, Joseph, Andrew, Stephen and Peter Reber; sisters, Anna Reber Bonk, Mary Reber Novak and Helen Reber Urbanic.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, July 9, 2012 from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, Oh where closing prayers will be held on Tuesday, July 10th. at 11:00 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. at the Catholic Church of St. Peter, 3655 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. Rev. Fr. John Retar, will officiate. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
