Mrs. Lorene Stowes was born March 17, l9l9 to the late Freeman Thomas and Katie Horton in Tallapoosa County. She was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church in Daviston, Alabama.

She was married to William Mavis Stowes who preceeded her in death.

Our beloved mother entered into a greater resting place on Thursday, June 28, 2012 atAdams Health and Rehab Nursing Home.

"Mola" was preceded in death by seven children: Clifford Stowes, David Stowes, William Ben Stowes, Curtis Stowes, Lillie Ruth Stowes, P.C. Oneil Stowes and R.E. Oneil Stowes;

She leaves fond and loving memories to: 4 surviving children, Calvin Stowes (Mirian), Marie Simmons of Millerville, Alabama, Edwina McElrath (Wayne) and Diann Lyons (James) of New Site, Alabama; one surviving brother, Freeman Thomas (Pauline) of Rockford, Alabama; two daughers-inlaw, Gladys Stowes and Hilda Mae Stowes; thirtythree grandchildren; sixty-nine great grandchildren and thirty-three great great grandchildren. She cherished a very special niece, Eula Mae Kelly.
