Mrs. Oppie Lee "Bebe" Blackwood, age 84, of Alpharetta, died June 4, 2001. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Edward L. Blackwood, and son, Mr. Bruce Randall Blackwood. Surviving are son, Mr. Lane Blackwood of Roswell. Sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jack (Rose) Karwisch of Alpharetta. 6 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 8, at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Carl Jameson, Dr. Harvey West, Mr. Harris Blackwood officiating. Interment will be in Arlington Memorial Park at 2:00 p.m. Those who wish may make contributions in her memory to the Alpharetta First United Methodist Church, 69 N. Main St., Alpharetta, GA 30004 or Hospice Atlanta, 1244 Park Vista Dr., Atlanta, GA 30319. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Thursday evening at Northside Chapel Funeral Directors, Roswell/Alpharetta, 770-645-1414.
