ARTESIA--A funeral service for Salomon Juarez, 64, of West Grand Avenue, will be 9:30 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Grace Church with the Rev. Alcuin Hunter officiating. Burial will follow at San Marcos Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. today at Terpening & Son Mortuary. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. today.
Arrangements are under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.
Mr. Juarez died Friday, Oct. 6, 2000, at his home. He was born March 13, 1936, in Villa Campo, Mexico to Narciso and Gregoria Mendez Juarez. He married Maria Rejujia Chavira in 1956 in Villa Campo. He moved to Artesia in 1997 from Mexico and worked as a farm laborer.
He is survived by his wife, Maria, of the home; sons, Isidro Juarez of Artesia and Benjamin Juarez of Mexico; sisters, Maria del Rosario and Natalia Mendez of Mexico; and 12 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
