Violet Marie "Aggie" Aguillard, 77, was called home July 4, 2012 surrounded by the love of her family.

Ms. Marie was born to Alvin and Annie Mae Perkins. She was married to Louis Aaron Aguillard. Marie devoted her life providing love, faith, strength, joy, passion, humor, and happiness to her family.

Ms. Aguillard worked at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital for 29 years before retiring. Her retirement years were spent enjoying her family and her sweet dog "sugar baby" at her side.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters,Kay Pettefer and husband, Charles, Kathy Baham and husband, Thomas; her son, Aaron Dale Aguillard; eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren; brothers, Alvin Perkins, Jr. and wife, Connie, Harry Gene Perkins and wife, Sammye, Dewayne Perkins and wife, Marjorie, Charles Perkins, Terry Perkins and wife, Janice; sister, Ann Perkins.

Ms. Aguillard is preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Louis Aguillard.

Her Celebration of Life will be at 10am, Saturday in Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Pastor Glenn Massey will officiate. Visitation will be Friday 5pm-9pm at the funeral home and resume 8 am until service time. A graveside service will be at 2pm Saturday at West Cemetery in Elizabeth, LA.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff of 7 tower at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, Extended care, Dr. Ben Thompson and Dr. Broussard for their kindness and excellent care.
