PIGG Emma Long Pigg, age 87, of Burkeville, widow of George Berlie Pigg Sr., died Sunday, August 27, 2000. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Belle and Bobby Kennedy of Amelia, Nancy P. B ell and Franklin (deceased) of Amelia, Louise and Lewis Boettcher of Drakes Branch, and Georgia and Bud Lewis of Kenbridge; son and daughter-in-law, George B. Jr. and Shirley Pigg of Burkeville; one sister, Alpha Barnette of South Hill; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews; and a special caregiver, Ann Williams.
Mrs. Pigg was a member of Bagby Memorial Baptist Church, where funeral services will be held Wednesday 2 p.m. with the Reverend J. Clyde Shelton officiating. Interment in church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Jennings-McMillian Funeral Home, Crewe, Tuesday 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Mrs. Pigg was a member of Bagby Memorial Baptist Church, where funeral services will be held Wednesday 2 p.m. with the Reverend J. Clyde Shelton officiating. Interment in church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Jennings-McMillian Funeral Home, Crewe, Tuesday 7 to 8:30 p.m.
