Dr. William Gale, son of Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Gale, died Sunday morning in Gainesville, Texas, of double pneumonia. He had not been in robust health for some time and had gone to Texas a few months ago in the hope that a change of climate would be beneficial to him. On Thursday of last week, word came to Bismarck that he was seriously ill pneumonia. Dr. and Mrs. Gale and their daughter, Miss Lillian, hastened to Greenville, arriving two days before his death. The deceased young man was 26 years of age and was not married.
The remains were brought to the Gale home in Bismarck Tuesday and kept there until yesterday when they were taken to Fredericktown, the former home of the Gale family, for the funeral service and burial.
Young Dr. Gale was a dentist, a graduate of the St. Louis University School of Dentistry. He practiced for a time in the northern part of the state. When his health began to fail, he gave up his practice and went to Texas.
This is the second death in the Gale family in about a year. Another son of Dr. and Mrs. Gale, Vernon, died about a year ago and was buried at Fredericktown. The couple have only one other child, their daughter, Lillian. The News extends sympathy to the deeply bereaved family.
