Cyril P. Schlichting, a resident of Little Falls, MN, died July 6, 2002 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Little Falls with the Rev. Nick Landsberger officiating. Interment was in Holy Trinity Cemetery in Royalton.
Cyril Schlichting was born June 30, 1919 in Buckman Township, Morrison County to the late Isadore and Rose (Janski) Schlichting. He grew up in Buckman Township and farmed the family farm until 1956. He was united in marriage to Lorraine O. Burggraff on November 24, 1942 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Royalton. Following their marriage the couple farmed. Cyril worked for DeZurik Corporation in Sartell, MN from 1956 until his retirement in 1984. In 1989, Cyril and Lorraine moved to Little Falls where he resided until his death. He was a former member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Royalton and presently a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Little Falls. He was also a former member of Machinist Union Local 623.
Survivors include his wife, Lorraine; sons and daughters, Audrey Borash of Minnetonka, Marvin Schlichting and wife Irene, of Royalton, Alice Vilinski and husband Larry of Little Falls, Harvey Schlichting and wife Rose of Little Falls, Leon Schlichting and wife Lynne of Elbow Lake; 23
grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; sisters, Loretta Kroll of Little Falls, Rose Czech of Royalton, Margaret Fussy of Little Falls, Theresia Fussy of Royalton, Regina Miller and husband Walter, of Tacoma, WA, Evelyn Krystosek and husband Gene of Holdingford, and Bernice Wollack and husband Claude of Duluth.
