ALBERT BUCKMAN BURIED HERE
The body of Albert Buckman, who was shot to death recently by the boy, Dewey Wheeler, was given permanent burial in the Larned cemetery Wednesday. The remains had been temporarily buried in the cemetery until the young wife recovered from her wound sufficiently to decide whether she wanted to take her husband's body to Illinois as she at first expressed a wish to do. She later decided to have the remains premanently buried here.
The widow, Mrs. Bernice Buckman, was able to attend the delayed funeral Wednesday, and the same evening left for Illinois with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wanton Griggs, of Manhattan, Ill., who have been here with their daughter since the tragedy. She will return here later in the spring to appear as a witness at the trial of her husband's slayer, and then expects to make her home with her parents at Manhattan, Ill.
