Elizabeth Conrad, nee Droz, was born in France October 12, 1840 and died in Wilson, Kansas July 17th, 1913 aged 72 years, 9 months and 5 days. When 8 years old she emigrated to this country and settled in Buffalo, N.Y. After remaining in Buffalo for a short time she removed to Indiana and settled on the Wabash River from thence she went to Mishawaka, Ind. While residing here she was united in marriage to Peter Conrad in the year 1867 to which union five children were born, Amy, Lew, Joseph, Peter and Charles. After having resided in Indiana for thirteen years the family removed to Wilson, Kansas where they have since made their home. She leaves a husband and four children to mourn the loss of a faithful and loving wife and mother. Amy the oldest having died about seven years ago. Thou shalt come to the grave in a full age. Like as a shock of corn cometh in its season. The Lord gave and the Lord hath taken away; Blessed be the name of the Lord. Funeral services conducted from the late home by Rev. E.A. Gagle July 19, 1913. Interment in Wilson cemetery.
