Professional Football Player. An outstanding Quarterback at the University of North Texas, he was one of the greatest football players in the school's history, holding almost every school passing record. He played in the National Football League from 1970 to 1976. He was drafted by the New Orleans Saints, but after one season with them he was traded to the Denver Broncos. He backed up Quarterback Charlie Johnson from 1971 to 1974, but became the Broncos starter from 1975 to 1976. Stephen Wayne "Steve" Ramsey.
