Carl was a veteran of the Vietnam War, a SSGT in the U.S. Air Force. He was self-employed and operated Alexander Custom Decks. Also, he was a member of Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Church, where he served as head usher, and a member of the Aberdeen VFW and American Legion.
